| There always needs to be something in your life that can jolt you back into life. Something unwanted, something welcome, something slow and painful or quick and awesome. But there always has to be something, because those are the things that keep us alive, and make us appreciate what we have. I've just had something like that, and not only am i still alive, but i'm more alive for it. | | |
| A Noiseless Patient Spider
A noiseless patient spider I marked where on a little promontary it stood isolated, Marked how to explore the vacant vast surrounding, It launched forth filament, filament, filament, out of itself, Ever unreeling them, ever tirelessly speeding them.
And you, O my soul where you stand, Surrounded detatched, in mearsureless oceans of space, Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing, seeking, the spheres to connect them, Till the bridge you will need be formed, till the ductile anchor hold, Till the gossamer thread you fling catch somewhere, O my soul.

| Phenomenal Woman
by Maya Angelou
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies I'm not cute or built to suit a model's fashion size But when I start to tell them They think I'm telling lies. I say It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips The stride of my steps The curls of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally Phenomenal woman That's me.
I want into a room Just as cool as you please And to a man The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. They they swarm around me A hive of honey bees. I say It's the fire in my eyes And the flash of my teeth The swing of my waist And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally Phenomenal woman That's me.
Men themselves have wondered What they see in me They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them Some say they still can't see. I say It's the arch of my back The sun of my smile The ride of my breasts The grace of my style. I'm a woman Phenomenally Phenomenal woman That's me.
Now you understand Just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about, Or have to talk real loud When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say It's in the click of my heels The bend of my hair The palm of my hand The need for my care. 'cause I'm a woman Phenomenally Phenomenal woman That's me.
| I got accepted to Creighton University yesterday too!
So lets compare packages:
overall tuition for Creighton: about 30 thou? scholorship money: 7 thousand a year
overall tuition for CCU: about 24 thou? scholorship money: 4 thousand a year.
aw hell, no matter where i go, i need to get more scholorship money. This sucks.

-CORRECTION-
Apparently I've just been accepted for the Presidential scholorship (That was great advice Sarah!) and now I have 6 thousand a year for CCU, and I'm eligable for the Trustee's scholorship, which could potentially be 10,000$ a year. This is awesome. If i'm lucky i'll only be like 20,000 $ in debt when i get out of college
